Asking the question you are currently guessing at
One use, narrowly. Not lead capture โ a survey sent to people who already bought, to settle a question you have been answering from instinct.

What it does
What it is for
The people to ask are already here
You can send it to a segment of past customers rather than buying an audience, because their records are already on the system.
Answers land on their record
A response attaches to the contact who gave it, so you can go back and ring the three people who said something interesting.
It can trigger a follow-up
A poor answer can raise a task for you the same day, rather than being read a month later in a summary.
How it works
How it goes
- Write down the thing you are currently guessing about.
- Turn it into two or three questions, no more.
- Send it to a segment of customers who would know.
- Read the answers on the records, and ring the ones worth ringing.
Worth knowing
Worth knowing
- Most people will not answer. A small response rate is normal, and it skews towards the very pleased and the very annoyed.
- People are polite in surveys and honest in reviews. Treat warm answers carefully.
- Asking sets an expectation that you will do something. Do not ask a question you have no intention of acting on.
