What is on the screen before you configure anything

The default view. What the dashboard shows on day one, without setup, and which parts of it are worth a daily look rather than a monthly one.

What it does

What is on the screen

It works before you set it up

The default view is built already. There is nothing to configure before the first numbers appear, which is why people keep using it.

Pipeline value sits at the top

What is open, what is won, and what it adds up to. The one number most owners came to the screen for.

Activity sits underneath

Calls, messages, bookings and invoices for the period, so you can see whether a quiet week was quiet in the numbers too.

How it works

Reading it

  1. Log in. The dashboard is the first screen.
  2. Set the period. Most of it means little without one.
  3. Read the pipeline value first, then the activity underneath it.
  4. Pick one number to watch, and ignore the others until it moves.

Worth knowing

Worth knowing

  • A dashboard on day one is mostly empty, and an empty dashboard is discouraging. It fills as you use the software.
  • Looking at it daily is usually wrong. Most of these numbers only mean something over a month.
  • It reports what the software saw. Work done outside it is missing, and nothing on the screen says so.
