The contact record, and how it keeps itself current
What is on a contact record and where it comes from. Most of it arrives on its own, as the customer calls, texts, books and pays.

What it does
What it does
One record holds the history
Calls, texts, emails, notes, appointments and payments sit on the same profile. Open it and you can read what happened in order.
It updates without being typed
A text answered, a call taken, an appointment booked — each writes itself onto the record. Check any contact for a line nobody entered by hand.
The stage is on the record
Where the customer stands in your pipeline shows on their profile, so you do not have to open the board to find out.
How it works
How it works
- A contact is created the first time someone calls, texts, books or fills in a form.
- Every interaction after that files itself onto that record automatically.
- Add what the software cannot know: notes, the detail from a site visit, what they said on the phone.
- Open the record before you call back. The last conversation is at the top.
Worth knowing
Worth knowing
- It records what passes through the software. A call from your personal mobile is invisible to it until you write it down.
- The same person contacting you from two numbers arrives as two contacts. Merging them is your job, not the software's.
- Importing an existing list means mapping your columns to its fields. Budget an afternoon for that, not five minutes.
