Invoicing at the door, not on Sunday night
One change, and it is only timing. The same invoice, sent while you are still on site instead of at the end of a week of them.

What it does
What changes
The customer is still there
An invoice handed over while the work is fresh gets queried on the spot rather than a fortnight later, when neither of you remembers.
The paperwork stops piling up
Invoices sent as you go means no evening spent on the week's backlog, which is the evening they usually get skipped.
The clock starts earlier
A payment term runs from when the invoice went, so sending on Tuesday rather than Sunday moves everything five days forward.
How it works
How it goes
- Finish the work and open the contact on your phone.
- Raise the invoice there, with the lines you agreed.
- Send it before you leave, by text.
- They can pay from the link while you are packing up.
Worth knowing
Worth knowing
- Invoicing at the door needs the price settled at the door. If you price later, this does not apply to you.
- A rushed invoice has mistakes in it, and a mistake sent to a customer costs more than the delay would have.
- Some customers want a formal invoice through a different route. Ask before you assume a text is fine.
